The gites at La Maison Petit Chatenet are situated in the heart of the historic 15th century town of Rochechouart.
The town is famous for it's stunning chateau but, to some, even more famous as the site of the largest meteor ever
to hit the earth - evidence of the meteor strike is still apparent in the town.
The Chateau, shops, bars and restaurants are all within easy walking distance, with delightful lakes for swimming and water sports a short drive away.
Walking and cycling enthusiasts will find plenty of woodland tracks to explore and for the golfers there are three excellent courses, all open to non-members throughout the year, all within easy reach.
With the cities of Angouleme and Limoges equidistant, there is something for everyone including sightseeing, shopping and the café culture.
